Carrera En 1989, llogra la llicenciatura en Ciencies Biolóxiques, pola Universidá de Padua. De 1992 a 2005, foi téunica de llaboratoriu nel Departamentu de Bioloxía de la Universidá de Padua. En 2002 recibió'l títulu de doctoráu en Bioloxía Evolutiva. Dende 2006, ye investigadora nel campu de la ciencia botánica, nel Departamentu de Bioloxía de la Universidá de Padua. Les sos principales temes d'investigación, son: a) morfolóxiques, ultraestructurales, bioquímicu y molecular de les cianobacteries, microalgas y plantes; b) les respuestes d'adaptación d'estos organismos a les condiciones de crecedera estremes; c) les investigaciones morfolóxicu y molecular de les macroalgas del Adriáticu.
Tien esperiencia en microscopía óptica y electrónica y la bioloxía molecular. Ye autora de 50 publicaciones en revistes internacionales.
