La temporada de 1953 del Campeonato del Mundo de Motociclismo fue la sexta edición del Campeonato Mundial de Motociclismo.

La temporada consistió en nueve pruebas en cinco cilindradas: 500cc, 350cc, 250cc, 125cc y Sidecars. Comenzó el 12 de junio con el TT Isla de Man y finalizó el 4 de octubre con el Gran Premio de España.
